We tackle the legacy of land use, infrastructure, and wildfires by restoring habitats, reforesting landscapes, and managing land sustainably.
The South Barito Kapuas (“SBK”) Project is located within the Kapuas and South Barito regencies of Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Spanning 39,835 hectares of dryland and peatland ecosystems, this concession is one of the region’s most important climate and biodiversity strongholds.
Our vision is to pioneer a holistic approach to landscape conservation that protects the integrity of natural habitats, sustainably manages key resources, and restores degraded areas. By blending local knowledge and community development with our conservation strategies, this project serves as a model for how nature-based solutions can address climate challenges while creating a net gain for both the environment and society.
To combat deforestation and degradation by restoring and conserving ecosystems in a historically impacted area. We address challenges from past land use, infrastructure, and fires by focusing on habitat preservation, reforestation, and sustainable management.
